Busch To Run Full Season In Truck Series

Kyle Busch Talks Retirement, Future with KBM

Busch to Run Full Season in Truck Series

After signing a one-year contract extension with Richard Childress Racing, Kyle Busch has revealed his plans for retirement. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion will run a full season in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series with his own team, Kyle Busch Motorsports, in 2024. Busch's goal is to win a Truck Series title before he retires from full-time racing.

Retirement Plans

Busch has not announced a definitive retirement date, but he has stated that he does not plan to race full-time in the Cup Series beyond 2025. He has also expressed interest in eventually retiring from racing altogether and pursuing other opportunities outside of motorsports.

One of Busch's long-term goals is to race against his son, Brexton, who is currently 8 years old and competing in go-karts. Busch has said that he would like to retire from racing when Brexton is old enough to compete in the same series as him.

Busch's decision to run a full season in the Truck Series in 2024 is a significant step towards his retirement plan. It will give him an opportunity to compete for a championship in a lower-level series while also mentoring his son's racing career.
