Purdy is coming off of a 2023 campaign in which he threw for 4280 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions while completing 69.4 percent of his passes and posting a league-high passer rating. Purdy is set to finally make more than a million in base salary for a season as he's due $1.1 million in the final year of his contract in 25. Because the 49ers can extend him as early as April 17, 2025, it's not an arrangement that will last forever. Purdy will expect to be compensated handsomely the moment he is eligible to sign a contract extension, which will come during the 2026 offseason.
